BAN vs USA: Meme Fest As USA Beat Bangladesh By Five Wickets - '6 June Ki Taiyyari'

BAN vs USA: In a historic turn of events, the USA cricket team handed a stunning five-wicket defeat to Bangladesh at the Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston on Tuesday, May 21.

Bangladesh's poor performance in the powerplay continued as they were restricted to 153/6 after being asked to bat first. Towhid Hridoy (58) and Mahmudullah (31) were the only two Bangladesh batters who could score over 30 runs in the match. Former captain Shakib Al Hasan got run out in the 12th over.

USA off-spinner Steven Taylor picked two wickets, while Saurabh Netravalkar, Ali Khan and Jessy Singh picked a wicket each. In reply, USA chased down the target with five wickets and three balls to spare.

Former New Zealand international Corey Anderson scored unbeaten 34 off 25, while Harmeet Singh remained unbeaten on 33 off 13. The innings from Singh consisted of two fours and three sixes. Mustafizur Rahman was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh. He picked two wickets for 41 runs in four overs.

Bangladesh recently defeated Zimbabwe 4-1 in the home T20I series but struggled against the African side in the last three games of the 5-mach series. In fact, Zimbabwe defeated them by eight wickets in the fifth T20I.

Bangladesh were trolled heavily for their defeat against the USA. The side has arrived early in the country to give final touch to their T20 World Cup 2024 preparations. Bangladesh are in Group D alongside South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal.

On the other hand, the USA are in Group A with India, Pakistan, Ireland and Canada. They will face Pakistan on June 6. "'6 June Ki Taiyyari," a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
