BAN-W vs WI-W Playing 11: Bangladesh will play West Indies in Match 13 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Thursday, October 10, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
The two teams have experienced mixed results in the tournament so far, losing one and winning one of the two matches. Bangladesh broke its ten-year-old winless streak in the Women’s T20 World Cup against Scotland, posting a messy 16-run win against their struggling opponents.

However, that win was followed by a 21-run loss against England at Sharjah, with the slow pitch neutralising Bangladesh’s bowling attack.
Meanwhile, West Indies have been underwhelming so far for a team that was considered by many to be an outside favourite to lift the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. The 2016 winners started the tournament with a massive 10-wicket defeat to South Africa. It took a 6-wicket victory against the struggling Scotland Women team for the Windies to return to their winning ways in the second outing.
Both teams would like to improve their fledgling tournament so far, and a win on Thursday would be the perfect platform for the victor to build upon their quest for qualification to the knockouts.
