Chandika Hathurusinghe, the head coach of Bangladesh, acknowledged India's aggressive batting in the second Test as unprecedented. Despite losing eight sessions to rain, India managed to force a result.
After dismissing Bangladesh for 233, India took a 52-run lead in just 34.4 overs. This approach changed the game dynamics.

India's strategy kept Bangladesh under pressure, bowling them out for 146 in their second innings. They then chased down the 95-run target in just 17.2 overs. "This approach was not seen before and we did not react quickly. Credit to Rohit Sharma and his team for taking such an approach and making a game out of it," Hathurusinghe stated.
The defeat was particularly painful for Bangladesh, especially after their recent 2-0 series win over Pakistan. Hathurusinghe expressed disappointment with his team's batting performance, noting that they have not been reaching their potential in recent series. "This defeat is really hurting us. Batting has been disappointing," he added.
When asked about the performance comparison between bowlers and batters, Hathurusinghe refrained from comparing them. He highlighted the high skill level of the opposition as a significant factor in the series outcome. "Both are my players. Another factor is the quality of the opposition, and the skill level on display in this series was very high," he mentioned.
The series against India provided valuable lessons for Bangladesh, according to Hathurusinghe. He emphasized that playing against India is currently one of the toughest challenges, which highlights areas for improvement. "Going forward, we will know what the top standard is, since this is the best team," he said.
Regarding team composition, Hathurusinghe expressed uncertainty about promoting Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim up the order. Additionally, he was unsure if veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had played his last Test match.
"As far as I know, he will be playing the Test against South Africa," Hathurusinghe stated about Shakib's future. Shakib had expressed a desire to play his farewell Test at home against South Africa but faced concerns about his safety due to murder charges upon returning to Bangladesh.
