Fortune Barishal pulled off the second-highest successful chase in a men's T20 final, securing a dramatic three-wicket victory over Chittagong Kings to retain their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) crown.

Chasing a daunting 195, Barishal held their nerve in a tense finish at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, sealing the win with three balls to spare.

The final witnessed a packed stadium as Barishal skipper Tamim Iqbal set the tone with a quickfire half-century. Kyle Mayers kept the momentum going in the middle overs, while Rishad Hossain provided the finishing touches with two crucial sixes in the final stretch. His blows against Binura Fernando and Hussain Talat in the last two overs ensured Barishal got over the line, with a wide delivery eventually bringing an end to the contest.

Despite Chittagong's heartbreak, Barishal's triumph was a testament to their consistency throughout the season. Having won 11 of their 14 matches, they proved to be the most dominant team in the tournament. Their squad depth, built through strategic investments over the last two seasons, was on full display as they maintained composure in the high-pressure final.

Earlier, Chittagong Kings posted a formidable 194/3, courtesy of a commanding 121-run opening partnership between Parvez Hossain Emon-who carried his bat through the innings-and Khawaja Nafay. However, their efforts ultimately fell short against a determined Barishal side that chased down the total in spectacular fashion to lift the trophy once again.
