Bangladesh schedule at Champions Trophy 2025: Know Dates and Venue of matches in Group Stages

The ICC has revealed the schedule for the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 on Tuesday, 24th December as the big-ticket event is set to take place from February 19 to March 9 across Pakistan and the UAE.

This eight-team, 15-match tournament marks its return to the international cricket scene after an eight-year hiatus, following the last edition in 2017.

Defending champions Pakistan will host their first global cricket event since 1996, with the UAE confirmed as the neutral venue.

Bangladesh will be among the 8 teams in the tournament as they get ready to appear for their 6th ever Champions Trophy since the inception in 1998.

The Bangla Tigers are grouped along side India, hosts Pakistan and New Zealand in Group A.

Bangladesh Full Schedule

Date Time (D/N) Match Venue
20 February 2025 14:30 (IST), 15:00 (Bangladesh Time) Bangladesh vs India Dubai International Cricket Stadium

27 February 2025 14:30 (IST), 15:00 (Bangladesh Time) Pakistan vs Bangladesh Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

As per the schedule, the Asian team will have to shuffle countries, starting with UAE, where they face India in their opener. The last two matches of the group stages will be played in Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

This change is due to the Hybrid model adopted, which facilitates India to play all their matches in Dubai, following their refusal to travel across the border to Pakistan.

Bangladesh's Record At Champions Trophy

Bangladesh's ICC Champions Trophy record includes one semi-final appearance in 2017, their best performance to date. They have participated in six editions, with their journey starting in 2000, where they reached the pre-quarter-finals, but subsequent campaigns in 2002, 2006, and 2009 ended early. They missed qualifying in 2013 and but are set to compete in the 2025 tournament. Overall, Bangladesh has won 2 out of 12 matches in the Champions Trophy.

The Tigers have never reached the summit clash of a major ICC tournament and will look to change their fortunes this time around and even go a step forward.
