Bangladesh will look to carry on the winning momentum when they face World Champions England in the three-match T20I series, starting with the first T20I at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday (March 9).
The hosts Bangladesh suffered a 3-wicket loss to England in the first ODI and followed that up with a 132-run defeat at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, but bounced back once the action shifted to Chattogram as they sealed a consolation win in the final ODI.
Now, the two sides are set for more thrilling encounters in the shortest format. Both sides will have some new faces to call on as some players who played in the ODIs make way for some T20I specialists.
Bangladesh will be led by Shakib Al Hasan, while Jos Buttler will continue to lead England, whose last involvement in T20I was the World Cup triumph last year in Australia, where they beat Pakistan in the final.
The hosts' last T20I outing was also in the T20 World Cup in Australia, where they suffered back-to-back to defeats against India and Pakistan. This will only be the second T20I meeting between England and Bangladesh, who last faced off in the 2021 World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

The champions England start favourites thanks to their recent form in the format. But, with some new faces in the line-up and the defeat in the final ODI, England may be a little cautious. However, Bangladesh's recent record in the format at home or away doesn't give a good reading for the hosts.
