Down 0-1 in the three-match series, Bangladesh will look to bounce back when they face England in the second ODI at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Friday (March 3).
The hosts Bangladesh suffered a 3-wicket loss to England in the first ODI at the same venue on Wednesday (March 1) after Dawid Malan's unbeaten hundred powered the visitors past the target of 210 with 8 balls to spare.
Opting to bat first, Bangladesh rode on fifty from Najmul Hossain Shanto to score 209 All Out in 47.2 overs. For England, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid claimed two wickets each, while Chris Woakes and Will Jacks took a wicket each.
In response, despite being reduced to half the side with just 105 on the board, Malan (114*) shared a 51-run stand with Rashid (17*) to see England home.
Now, Bangladesh, who have not lost a home ODI series since 2016 when they lost England, will look to get back to winning ways and level the ongoing series before the third ODI in Chattogram on Monday (March 6).
Both teams may look to stick to the same 11 for the second ODI. But, if they are to make changes, England may look to bring in Sam Curran or Reece Topley into the line-up, while Bangladesh may look at adding Ebadot Hossain.

Despite losing the series opener, Bangladesh proved how tough they are to beat in ODIs at home. But, England will be confident after the victory on March 1. However, with the match being played at the same venue and if Bangladesh spinners get into the groove, then the hosts can level the series.
