England will begin their tour of Bangladesh with a three-match ODI series, scheduled to start with the first ODI on Wednesday (March 1) at the Shere-E-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
The 50-over series will then continue with the second ODI at the same venue in Dhaka on Friday (March 3) followed by the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram before the tour concludes with a three-match T20I series.
The ODI series will provide a platform for the defending champions England and Bangladesh to prepare for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which is scheduled for October-November.
This will be Bangladesh's first ODI assignment since their 2-1 home series win against India, while England are heading into the tour on the back of a 1-2 series defeat in South Africa.
Bangladesh will be led by Tamim Iqbal, who returns to action after missing the series against India last year due to groin injury. The hosts also recalled left-arm spinner Taijul Islam and handed young batsman Towhid Hridoy his maiden call-up to the national side.
The visitors, who will be led by Jos Buttler, have named uncapped Somerset batter Tom Abell in their squad, while young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has also earned a maiden call-up to the white-ball squads.
Pacer Saqib Mahmood, who last featured in the Test side against West Indies last year, has earned a recall, while Jofra Archer, who recently made his international comeback against South Africa, also makes it to the squad.
