Bangladesh will host Ireland in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Sylhet International Stadium in Sylhet on Monday. Bangladesh will feel confident about their chances of winning the game as they thrashed Andrew Balbirnie-led side by 183 runs at the same venue.

Bangladesh came into the series defeating T20 World Champions England 3-0 in T20s while Ireland returned to international cricket after two months break.

Shakib Al-Hasan and Towhid Hridoy starred with the bat for the hosts in the last game with innings of 93 and 92 respectively. Veteran keeper Mushfiqur Rahim scored a solid 26-ball 44 as well, laced with three sixes and fours respectively.

Skipper Tamim Iqbal had a bad day with the bat as he scored just 3 while Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 26 and 25 respectively.

Among bowlers, Ebadot Hossain took a four-wicket spell as Bangladesh were bundled out for 155. Southpaw spinner and local boy Nasum Ahmed also delivered three wickets while pacer Taskin Ahmed picked two scalps as well.

For Ireland, Graham Rume took four wickets while giving away 60 runs in 10 overs. The rest of the Ireland bowlers in Mark Adair, Curtis Campher and Gareth Daleny proved expensive.

Few of their batters got going in the chase but couldn't convert them into big knocks for Ireland to have a chance and will like to change that in the do-or-die game.

Geogre Dockrell scored 45 while Stephen Doheny got out for 34 as he added 60 runs for the opening wicket with skipper Paul Stirling.
