Bangladesh vs Ireland weather update: Bangladesh will look to recover early on Day 2 as the side resumes their innings at 34/2 against visiting Ireland in the one-off Test at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Mominul Haque was the lone man standing at the crease not out at 12 after veteran opener Tamil Iqbal fell for 21 on the last ball of the day to Andy McBrine. Earlier Najmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for a golden duck by pacer Mark Adair.

The poor start has taken the momentum away from Bangladesh, who earlier bowled out the Irish side for a mere 214 in 77.2 overs. Left-arm orthodox Tajiul Islam starred with the ball as he took 5/58 while Ebadot Hossain and Mehidy Hasan chipped in with two wickets each as Day 1 saw the required quota of overs.
