Bangladesh win the toss and opt to bowl first.
This will be the first match for Ferguson as a Kiwi captain. Das has already captained his side and notably won an ODI series against India, last year.
Bangladeshi opener and renowned batter, Tamim Iqbal is back in the side. A lot will depend on him in the absence of some of the biggest names of the team. It will be interesting to see how he makes a comeback after his back injury.
Bangladesh is coming off an Asia Cup defeat. They won just one Super Four match against India and their outing was very ordinary in the championship. New Zealand had a similar tour of England. After winning the first ODI against the English team, they lost the series 1-3. It will be an important series for both teams as the winner will carry the momentum into the World Cup.
