Bangladesh vs New Zealand 2nd ODI: Shere Bangla National Stadium Weather Forecast

By Abhishek Raj

Bangladesh and New Zealand are set to lock horns against each other on Saturday (September 23) at the Shere Bangla Stadium. It is the second ODI of the three-match ODI series between the two countries.

Rain played a spoilsport in the first ODI between the two teams and the match ended in a draw. Notably the first ODI was also held in the same stadium.

Unfortunately, the weather reports suggest a similar forecast for today's game as well. Rain might play 'hide and seek' during the game, making it another tedious affair.

The perception chances are as high as 90% and the humidity will be at it's peak during the daytime. The heat will also trouble the players in the middle.

Both teams will be looking to win this game in order to secure the series. Bangladesh looked a better side in the first match, where NZ only, managed to bat for 33.4 overs.

Both teams have rested their top players for this series, ahead of the World Cup 2023. While Lockie Ferguson will be leading the New Zealand side, Bangladesh will be led by Liton Das.

Bangladesh are coming off an Asia Cup defeat. They won just one Super Four match against India and their outing was very ordinary in the championship. New Zealand had a similar tour of England. After winning the first ODI against the English team, they lost the series 1-3. It will be an important series for both teams as the winner will carry the momentum into the World Cup.
