Bangladesh will look to bounce back and level the series when they host New Zealand in the third and final ODI at the Sher E Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh on Tuesday (September 26).
Lockie Ferguson-led New Zealand side claimed a 1-0 series lead following an 86-run win over Litton Das-led Bangladesh in the second ODI at the same venue on Saturday (September 23). The first ODI, also at the same venue, was washed out after 33.4 overs.

Bangladesh, who had rested their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan for the opening two ODIs, have also rested the stand-in skipper Das in the final match of the series with Najmul Hossain Shanto taking over the role. The hosts will still be without Shakib in the third ODI.
This match will give Bangladesh a chance to finalize their World Cup squad with the likes Mahmudullah among others involved. New Zealand too have rested several key players, including captain Kane Williamson, Tom Latham and Devon Conway among others.
Now, the action will continue in Dhaka's Sher-E-Bangla Stadium, where Bangladesh possess an even win-loss record. New Zealand, on the other hand, have won only three outings at the vebue in ODI format.
How will the conditions play? Will rain play spoilsport like the first ODI? Here is a look at the Sher-E-Bangla Stadium Stats, Record, Pitch Report and Dhaka Weather Forecast ahead of Bangladesh vs New Zealand 3rd ODI:
The pitches at the venue have helped the quick bowlers when the ball is new and assisted the slower bowlers as the match progesses. The last outing was a good example of that New Zealand's leg spinner Ish Sodhi claimed six wickets to defend a total of 254.
There is no big difference in terms of record for teams winning the match when chasing or defending a total, but three of the last five ODIs have seen the team bat first come out on. So, that pattern may continue unless weather has any role in the captain's choice at the toss.
It is expected to be a cloudy day with possible thunderstorm in the morning. The temperature will be 34o C during the day, reducing to 30o C in the night. There is forecast for thunderstorm at 10 AM Local Time, but that is unlikley to play spoilsport like the first ODI.
