India women has successfully clinched the 5-match T20I series 5-0 over Bangladesh women after winning the 5th T20I by 21 runs on Thursday (May 9).
The series finale saw India setting a target of 157 runs, a score Bangladesh fell short of by 21 runs. Notable performances included Ritu Moni and Shorifa Khatun, but the team's collective effort was not enough to chase down the target. Radha Yadav's three-wicket haul was instrumental in securing the win for India.

India Women batted first and put up 156 for 5 in their 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana scored 33 runs while Dayalan Hemalatha managed 37 runs. Captain Harmanpreet also scored a 30 off just 24 balls.
In the run chase, Bangladesh had early stutters as Radha Yadav rocked their top order. The left-arm spinner got the wickets of Dilara Akter, set batter Rubya Haider and then went on to dismiss captain Nigar Sultana to reduce Bangladesh at 47 for 3. Ritu Moni and Shorifa Khatun made a valiant effort but it was too much for them as India completed the rout.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian captain, praised her team's composure during both batting and bowling phases.
"I think the calmness all the players showed was pleasing. While bowling and batting. We have some areas to improve. WPL gave a few players some confidence. Has helped them improve their game. Definitely this series will give us a lot of confidence. We are working really hard. We will look to play our best cricket," Harmanpreet was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
On the other side, Nigar Sultana, the captain of Bangladesh, admitted to the challenges her team faced throughout the series. Despite a slightly better batting performance in the final game, the overall batting strategy requires enhancement.
Radha Yadav was awarded as the Player of the Match for her three-wicket haul. She was also the Player of the Series for picking up 7 wickets.
