India Women have made a winning start to the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh women in Bangladesh.
The Indian women's team won the match by 7 wickets at Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka and has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. Anusha Bareddy and Minnu Mani made their senior debut in the match.

Bangladesh Women were put into bat by Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Batting first, the Tigresses could manage 114 for 5 at the end of their full quota of overs.
The Indian women chased it down comfortably while chasing, as they reached the target within 16.2 overs and won the match by 7 wickets and 22 balls to spare.

Pooja Vastrakar started the bowling tightly and was one of the key bowlers who put the screw early on in the Bangladesh innings. The spinner conceded just 16 runs in her 4 overs and picked up the crucial wicket of Bangladeshi opener Shathi Rani.
Chasing 115 runs, India had an early jitter as Shafali Verma was dismissed for a duck. But Shafali's partner Smriti Mandhana steered the Indian ship and scored 38 valuable runs in the chase.

She added 21 runs with Jemimah Rodrigues for the 2nd wicket, then stitched a solid 70-run partnership with captain Harmanpreet Kaur to take India closer to victory. Her inning had 5 boundaries in it.
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur led her troops in a fantastic fashion and was the key factor with the bat. Kaur was pivotal for India in the chase as her aggressive batting made it easy for the Indians.
She remained unbeaten on 54 off just 35 balls, scoring 6 fours and 2 sixes in it. The India captain's magnificent batting also earned her the Player of the Match award.
