India women's captain Harmanpreet Kaur has heaped praises on two Indian players after their comfortable victory over Bangladesh on Sunday (July 9).
The Indian women's team have taken a 1-0 lead to the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh women with a 7-wicket victory at the Sher e Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.

India restricted the hosts to just 114 runs and then chased it down with 22 balls to spare. India's captain supremo Harmanpreet Kaur scored an unbeaten 54 runs off just 35 balls and was awarded the player of the match.
But when speaking about the win in the post-match presentation, Kaur uttered not a single word about herself and instead was all praises for two of her teammates. She also said the Indian team was able to execute their plans.
"We were able to execute our plans. It was a great performance by our team. I wanted to see how our bowlers were going to bowl in the first 6 overs," Kaur said after the match.
The Indian captain spoke highly about Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma, who were instrumental in India's win.
"I think Deepti showed her experience. Smriti showed her character today, with that batting line-up you don't need to worry much. We wanted to finish with 4-5 overs left, and we managed to do that," the Indian women's captain added.

Deepti Sharma was tidy with the ball as she conceded just 14 runs off her four overs. Mandhana, on the other hand, scored 38 runs off 34 balls and played a key part in the run chase. She stitched 70 runs with Kaur on the 3rd wicket, which was the building block for the resounding victory.
The Indian women's team also handed two debutants in the match as Minnu Mani and Anusha Bareddy made their senior team debut. Kerala-born Mani conceded 21 runs off her three overs and also picked up a wicket, whereas Anusha Bareddy conceded 24 runs off her four overs.
The Indian team play Bangladesh on Tuesday (July 11) at the same venue, followed by the 3rd T20I on Thursday (July 13).
