The first and second placed teams will play the Qualifier which gives both the teams a second shot at making the final even if they lose the match as they will play the winner of the Knockout match, played between third and fourth placed teams, in the Challenger.

All four spots for the BBL 14 Finals or playoff round was finalized on Sunday (January 19). Hobart Hurricanes sealed the number one spot, while Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder also qualified for the BBL finals as the second and third-placed teams respectively.
