Cricket Australia (CA) on Friday (July 12) announced the schedule for the Big Bash League (BBL) Season 14, which is set to be held across venues in the country during the summer from December 2024 to January 2025.
A total of 44 matches, 17 fewer than the previous edition, will be held without any interruptions, including six double headers with the regular season starting on December 15 and going on till January 19 next year.

The finals series or most commonly known as the playoffs and knockouts, will begin on January 21 and conclude with the Final on January 27, a national public holiday in Australia.
The BBL 14 season kicks off at Optus Stadium with the Perth Scorchers facing Melbourne Stars, while Sydney Sixers host Melbourne Renegades in the second match of the tournament on Monday (December 16).
The upcoming season will also coincide with the India vs Australia Test series as 14 BBL matches will be held during Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. However, the BBL may potentially feature returning Australian Test players after the series concludes on January 7.
The Melbourne Derbies between the Renegades and Stars is set for January 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and January 12 at Marvel Stadium. The Sydney Derbies between Sixers and Thunder will be held on December 21 at ENGIE Stadium and on January 17 at the SCG. Here is a look at the full schedule in Local Time:
