BBL 2024 Draft: Cricket Australia (CA) on Wednesday (August 28) revealed the names of 593 cricketers who have registered themselves for Big Bash League overseas drafts for the upcoming men's and women's seasons.
As many as 432 men's cricketers and 161 women have registered for the BBL 2024 overseas player drafts. Players from 30 countries including Hong Kong, Uganda, Japan, Greece, Indonesia and Romania, have been nominated across both the drafts.

67 out of the 432 men's cricketers for the Big Bash League 2024 overseas draft are from Pakistan. The list is a mix of experienced Pakistan internationals, and uncapped players looking to make a name for themselves on the big stage.
Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood, former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, pace star Haris Rauf, veteran opener Fakhar Zaman, star all-rounder, and rising spinner Abrar Ahmed have nominated themselves for the BBL 14 overseas player draft.
The BBL 2024 draft will be held on September 1 as the eight teams - Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers - will secure overseas players for the 2024-25 season.

As per Cricket.com.au, Teams will be allowed to pick up to four players if they wish, and salary cap permitting. One of the four would be considered an overseas replacement player with only three international players permitted on a team's primary list of 18 at any one time during the tournament.
