BBL Draft 2023: Overseas player drafts for the Big Bash League 13 (BBL 13) was held in Melbourne on Sunday. A total of 373 players featured in the BBL 2023 draft pool.
As expected, Rashid Khan made headlines after Melbourne Stars tried picking him first up before Adelaide Strikers acted swiftly and utilised their retention pick option to grab the services of the T20 superstar.

Among other key players, England star Harry Brook was selected by Melbourne Stars from the platinum category of players selected in the first round of the BBL draft.
The Hobart Hurricanes made an attempt to get England all-rounder Tom Curran but the Sydney Sixers were swift to activate their retention pick option to keep the 28-year-old in the harbour city.
Tom Curran recently won the Player of the Match award in the final of the men's Hundred 2023. He scored match-winning 67 not out runs off 34 balls after Oval Invincibles were reduced to 34/5 in 36 balls.
Chris Jordan was picked by Hobart Hurricanes, while South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock will make his first-ever appearance in the Big Bash League after being picked by the Melbourne Renegades.
