BCB condoles ICC president's death

Dhaka, May 27 (UNI) Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has condoled the sudden demise of ICC president Percy Sonn.

''Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Sonn's family in this time of distress. The BCB Executive Committee sends their deepest condolences at the untimely demise of Mr Sonn,'' BCB president M Abdul Aziz said in an official release.

Percy Sonn died today at the age of 57 following a protracted illness.

He was earlier admitted to a hospital in Cape Town on May 14 for a colon surgery and later shifted to the intensive care unit on May 22 after he developed complications.

He was survived by his wife, Sandra, and three children, apart fromhis mother and six brothers.
