The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an updated schedule for the 2024-25 home season of Team India, as the upcoming season starts from September.
A Test venue for the upcoming Bangladesh series has changed while the T20I series against England has also seen a swap of venues.

The first T20I against Bangladesh, initially set for Dharamsala on October 6, will now be held in Gwalior. This change is due to renovation work at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association's dressing rooms.
The match in Gwalior will be the first international fixture at the new Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium. This venue last hosted an international game in 2010 when Sachin Tendulkar scored a historic double century against South Africa. The stadium's debut promises to be a significant event for cricket fans.
Additionally, there has been a swap in venues for the first and second T20Is against England. Chennai, which was initially supposed to host the first T20I, will now host the second one. Kolkata will take over as the venue for the opening T20I instead of hosting the second match. The dates remain unchanged: 22nd January 2025 for the first T20I and 25th January 2025 for the second match.
This venue change was made following a request from Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal due to their Republic Day commitments. The BCCI has accommodated this request to ensure the smooth conduct of both events.
