Unamused by a bunch of foreign players making the regular offence of pulling out of the IPL after making themselves available in the auction, a few team owners have suggested the BCCI to ban them.
As per a Cricbuzz report various franchise managements have highlighted concerns about the lack of respect and commitment from certain foreign players towards the IPL auction process and it is among one of the agendas to be discussed at their much-awaited meeting with BCCI on Wednesday.

The likes of Jason Roy, Alex Hales and Wanindu Hasaranga have made themselves unavailable on various occasions after being bought at the IPL auctions. Even though they have cited personal issues and injuries for their reasons of withdrawing their names, the IPL team owners believe that receiving low bids was the major reason.
The owners have also identified a pattern of foreign players not participating in mega auctions, and instead putting their names in mini auctions to secure higher bids. BCCI is understood to have given a patient hearing to these concerns from franchise representatives in the past.
Further, the IPL team owners also want the BCCI to not interfere in the appraisal process of their performing players. They are looking for complete autonomy rather than having the BCCI make these decisions.
Among other topics of discussions, the franchises are looking for a clarity over the number of players they could retain ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Reports have emerged that most of the teams want to retain five to six players. The reintroduction of the Right-to-Match (RTM) option is also likely to be discussed.
