BCCI Central Contract 2025: Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan Return; Abhishek, Nitish & Harshit Rana Earn First-Time Contracts

BCCI Central Contract 2025: Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan make a comeback as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the annual players contract list for the 2024/25 season on Monday (April 21).

Kishan has been placed in Grade C, whereas Sheyas has got his spot in Grade B. The Annual Player Contracts for Team India (Senior Men) are for for the 2024-25 season ranging from October 1st, 2024 to September 30th, 2025.

Last year, India internationals Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan were excluded from the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) central contracts due to their non-participation in the Ranji Trophy. Now, the duo as expected make a comeback.

Indian Test Team skipper Rohit Sharma leads the Grade A+ players. Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, while in the Grade A there are Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant, who has been promoted from Grade B.

Grade B will now include Shreyas, Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, while Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana, who made their debut either last year or at the start of this year, have been added to the contract list for the first time in Grade C along with Ishan and 15 other players.

Grade C also includes Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Akash Deep and Varun Chakaravarthy.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who retired late last year and the quartet of Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharath and Avesh Khan were the ones to be left out from the list this time. Here is a look at the full list:
