Bengaluru, December 11: The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday met in New Delhi for its Special General Body meeting to decide on a slew of important on field and off field matters.
Here are they
1 India will play Afghanistan in a Test in the 2019-2020 season to usher the minnows to the world of Test cricket.
"Afghans were scheduled to play their first Test in 2019 versus Australia but considering the historic relationship between India and Afghanistan, we decided to host their first Test," said BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudhary after the SGM.
@ACBofficials and @BCCI have agreed that Afghanistan will play its first test match against India. The exact date and venue of the historic match will be shared in a joint press conference with @BCCI in due course.

2 India will host the 2023 ICC 50-over World Cup. Last time India hosted it was in 2011 and they emerged winners under MS Dhoni defeating Sri Lanka.
3 India will host the Champions Trophy in 2021. India had hosted it in 2006 and Australia won the tournament.
4) The BCCI has decided to revoke the ban of Rajasthan Cricket Association since Lalit Modi has moved himself away from administration.
5) BCCI will continue to oppose the dope testing of cricketers by NADA.
6) The new FTP (witheffect from 2019) will have more one-dayers in it.
Less burden for Indian cricketers
India will host 81 matches across the formats between 2019 and 2023 but the BCCI insisted that the number of playing days have decreased.
BCCI says that the new calender will feature 306 playing days, significantly less than the current but this excludes ICC Champions Trophy and the World Cup.
India will play a majority of their cricket in the home season against top sides like Australia, England and South Africa.
Recently Indian skipper Virat Kohli had urged the powers that be to consider the number of match days the Indian cricketers play and take a call to decrease the burden.
