BCCI executive to deliberate on '20-20' in domestic calendar
Chennai, Jan 19 (UNI) The technical committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will have a day's meeting here tomorrow to deliberate on the introduction of Twenty20 format in the domestic calendar and the ICC rules and regulations, from April.
The meeting to be Chaired by former India captain and opening batsman, Sunil Gavaskar, will be held at the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), in the premises of the M A Chidambaram stadium-Chepauk, which is being readied to host the third ODI between India and West Indies on January 27.
According to BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah, the Convenor of the Technical Committee, the respective representatives on the committee from the various zones, including chairman of the selection committee D B Vengsarkar and his predecessor Kiran More, would be attending the meeting.
The meeting will also review the Ranji trophy points system and the recommendations of M P Pandove, BCCI joint secretary, to stage all Super League group matches, semi-finals and the final at neutral venues from the next season.
The matches are presently being held on rotation system, on home and away basis.
