Manjrekar's comments have come against the backdrop of the ongoing feud between former India skippers Sourav Ganguly and Ravi Shastri after the latter was recently overlooked for the head coach's job.

"More than Sourav, I think Ravi is miffed with the rejection. It's a new experience for him. BCCI have made the better choice as coach," Manjrekar tweeted.
Kumble was appointed for a one-year term and his stint with the team begins with the gruelling four-Test tour of the West Indies next month.
