Apart from developing the sport in Asia, the ACC President played a part in grassroots development, infrastructure improvement and nurturing budding talents.

Meanwhile, if the reports doing the rounds are to be believed, Jay Shah is looking forward to starting a new innings of his career later this year by contesting for the post of ICC Chairman, with the official election scheduled for November 2024.

Who is the current ICC chairman?

New Zealand’s Greg Barclay holds the distinguished position in the world of cricket. He is at the helm of the ICC chairman post, a role that he has been serving since 2020.

Greg is primarily responsible for the overall governance and planned direction of international cricket. For the record, two Indians namely N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar previously served as the ICC chairman and Jay Shah is looking to become the third Indian to serve as the ICC chairman.
