BCCI sets new Guidelines for Players, Family and Wives' stay Curbed during Tours
The support of family is an important aspect for any athlete, and when it comes to Indian cricketers, the role plays an even bigger part.
In India, the players are subjected to criticism by billions and the low times warrant support and care of family, albeit on home soil or in foreign countries.

But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to curb the presence of family and wives of the players during the tours. Presently, the BCCI allows players' wives and family to stay with them during a tour, but as per reports, the apex body of Indian cricket won't allow that in future.
A new set of guidelines has been introduced by BCCI as per a report from Dainik Jagran, which will see the role of family getting reduced significantly for the players during an overseas tour.
BCCI new Guidelines on Family for Players
No Wife or Family for the Entire Tour
A player's wife won't be allowed to stay for an entire tour from now on. A wife or family members can stay a maximum up to 14 days during a 45-day tour of the Indian team, and beyond that won't be entertained. Although cricketers seek family members' presence, BCCI has taken the decision for their optimum focus on the game.
Team Bus Travel a Must
From the upcoming series, BCCI has outlined travelling with the entire team a must for the Indian players. During the Australia series, players were seen travelling separately from one city to another, but it won't be allowed in the coming future. No players will be allowed personal travelling and they will have to shift their bases with the entire unit.
