BCCI to honour Five ICC Trophy winning India Teams: Date Announced; MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma to be Present

Indian cricket is currently enjoying a golden era! Over the past year, Indian teams across different age groups and formats have brought home an impressive five ICC trophies.

To celebrate this incredible dominance, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is gearing up for a grand celebration.

On March 15, the BCCI will host its annual NAMAN Awards in New Delhi. The event will take place at a luxurious five-star hotel near the airport. This location was specifically chosen to make travel convenient for players who will soon be leaving to join their respective IPL franchises for the upcoming season.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the ceremony will be a massive get-together of champions. "We plan to invite all the ICC tournament winners, including the recent T20 World Cup champions, along with their coaches," he shared.

5 India Teams to be Felicitated

The special night will honour the players and support staff from five victorious squads:

* 2025 ICC Champions Trophy (Senior Men)
* 2025 ICC Women's ODI World Cup (Senior Women)
* 2025 ICC U-19 Men's Cricket World Cup (U-19 Boys)
* 2025 ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup (U-19 Girls)
* 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup (Senior Men)

Fans can expect to see some of their favourite cricket icons at the event. Legends like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who played crucial roles in India's 2025 Champions Trophy win, are likely to attend if their schedules permit. Rohit was recently seen cheering for the team during the 2026 T20 World Cup in his role as the tournament's brand ambassador.

MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir to be Present

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who was spotted in the stands during the final stages of the T20 World Cup, might also make an appearance. Additionally, India's Head Coach, Gautam Gambhir, is highly expected to be present, as the ceremony is taking place in his home city.

To top it all off, the BCCI has already announced a massive cash reward of ₹131 crore for the 2026 T20 World Cup-winning squad and their support staff. This marks the highest prize money the board has ever awarded to a victorious Indian side.

With so much to celebrate, the 2026 NAMAN Awards promises to be a spectacular evening dedicated to the hard work, talent, and unparalleled success of Indian cricket.
