Bangladesh will face England in Match 6 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday, October 5, at the Sharjah International Stadium.

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium pitch is known for being balanced but tends to be on the slower side. The pitch is ideal for spinners, but batters can thrive due to the small boundaries, which range from 58 to 65 metres.
Weather conditions are expected to be clear but warm, with temperatures hovering between 32 and 33 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels between 51% and 58% could make it feel even warmer. The dry conditions may also cause the pitch to deteriorate slightly as the game progresses, offering more turn for spinners. Winds from the west will blow at speeds of 28-32 km/h.
Bangladesh come into this match on the back of a hard-fought win against Scotland in the opening-day match. Despite their 16-run win, the Tigresses did not hit top form, which may be a concern for captain Nigar Sultana Joty. The Bangladeshi batters are yet to find their rhythm, with the only notable partnership being between Shathi Rani and Sobhana Mostary before the former's dismissal.
England will begin their World Cup campaign after mixed results in the warm-up games. They lost their first match to an in-form Australian team before defeating New Zealand. England, however, remain the overwhelming favourites, with star batter Danni Wyatt among the runs in the warm-ups.
Both teams are expected to field their strongest playing XI on Saturday, with no injuries reported on either side. However, this could change before the toss.
