Sobisco Smashers Malda scripted a sensational comeback to outclass Harbour Diamonds by 62 runs in a Bengal Pro T20 League Season 2 clash at Eden Gardens on Sunday (June 15).

The match seemed to be slipping away early, with Sobisco reeling at a precarious 22 for 5 after a top-order collapse. However, Arjun Bhardwaj held firm and produced a gritty knock under pressure, scoring a composed 63. He found a capable ally in Kaif Ahmed, whose patient 39 played a vital supporting role in stabilizing the innings. The duo's resolute partnership not only rescued the innings but propelled Sobisco to a respectable total of 139 for 7, which had looked improbable at one stage.

In response, Harbour Diamonds never got going. Sobisco's bowlers came out firing, with Writtick Chatterjee delivering a masterclass in control and accuracy. His remarkable spell of 4 wickets for just 5 runs dismantled the Harbour batting unit, which folded for a mere 77 in just 15 overs.

This comprehensive win not only gave Sobisco valuable points but also sent a strong message to their rivals. With the win, Malda have reclaimed the top spot in the Bengal Pro T20 points table with 4 points in three matches, while Harbour Diamonds remain 6th in the table with 2 points in 2 matches.
