Rashmi Medinipur Wizards are one of the eight franchises for the inaugural season of the Bengal Pro T20 League.
The Rashmi Group-owned team will represent the Southern districts of Bengal - namely Purba and Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram as they look to take centre stage in the inaugural journey of the franchise tournament.

Bengal's premier batter Abhimanyu Easwaran was roped in as the men's team captain, while India women's star Richa Ghosh, who recently won the WPL with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, will be captaining the women's team of the Medinipur Wizards.
But as per the latest news, Wriddhiman Saha will replace Easwaran as the captain of the Wizards for the inaugural season.
The Wizards have also roped in a few excellent talents in their team. When it comes to the women's side, the likes of Ankita Burman, Trishita Sarkar and Debarati Guha are going to be a part of the squad.
For the men's side, experienced Bengal player Sudip Chatterjee is going to represent Medinipur Wizards. Along with him, Bengal pacer Ishan Porel is also going to hone the colours of the Medinipur-based team. Shreyan Chakraborty, Vivek Singh and Kaushik Maity are the other notable players in their squad.
Former Bengal player Arindam Das has been roped in as the head coach of Medinipur Wizards, while former Bengal captain Laxmi Ratan Shukla is going to mentor the team during the Bengal Pro T20 League season.
