A shocking incident has taken place as Bengal player Sk Asif Hussain passed away on Monday (September 30).
Asif, who played in the inaugural season of Bengal Pro T20 League, lost his life after a sudden accident. The player was just 28 years old.

Asif represented Adamas Howrah Warriors in the Bengal T20 league and emerged as one of the star players. He played a superb knock of 99 runs in just 57 balls in the tournament.
As per sources close to the family, Asif got hurt after falling in his own home on Monday. He fell from the stairs and had a deep injury on his head. The player was rushed to a hospital in Kolkata where the doctors pronounced him dead. The entire fraternity of Bengal cricket has been in shock with the passing of Asif, who has also previously played for Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh in domestic cricket.
Asif had also represented age-level cricket for Bengal. He signed a new deal with Sporting Union club for the upcoming season.
