Bengal T20 League: Shahbaz Ahmed, Karan Lal Shine In Dominant Wins At Eden Gardens

Kolkata, June 8: Shahbaz Ahmed and Karan Lal led big wins in Bengal T20 League Season 3 at Eden Gardens on Monday. Both all-rounders starred with bat and ball. Shrachi Rarh Tigers beat Sobisco Smashers Malda. Servotech Siliguri Strikers defeated Murshidabad Kings by 90 runs.

In the first match, Shahbaz took 4/15 and scored 31 off 18 balls. Rarh Tigers chased 118 with five wickets in hand. In the second game, Karan hit 53 off 29 and claimed 4/12. Siliguri Strikers bowled out Murshidabad for 62.

Rarh Tigers cruise past Sobisco Smashers Malda

Sobisco Smashers Malda batted first after being sent in. They were bowled out for 117 in 19.4 overs. Vikas Singh Sr top-scored with 33 off 22 deliveries. Shahbaz led the Rarh Tigers attack with 4/15. His spell broke the middle order.

Chasing 118, Shrachi Rarh Tigers reached 118/5 in 16 overs. Shahbaz anchored the reply with a brisk 31 off 18 balls. The chase stayed in control. Malda failed to build pressure with the ball. Rarh Tigers won by five wickets with four overs left.

Siliguri Strikers hammer Murshidabad Kings

In the second match, Servotech Siliguri Strikers posted 152/9 in 20 overs. Opener Sudip Chatterjee scored 50 off 41 balls. Karan Lal added 53 off 29 deliveries. Their stand gave Siliguri a strong base. For Murshidabad, Toufik Uddin Mondal took three wickets.

Murshidabad Kings crumbled in the chase. They were all out for 62 in 12 overs. Wickets fell at regular intervals, killing any hope. Karan completed a fine spell of 4/12. Ishan Porel supported with 3/11. Md Shami, Kaushik Maity and Vishal Bhati took one each.
