Bengal selectors drop Ranadeb Bose from one-day squad

Kolkata, January 25 (PTI) The senior selection committeeof CAB today dropped veteran medium-pacer Ranadeb Bose fromthe 15-member one-day squad that will play in the East Zoneleg of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The 31-year-old who had a rare bad season didn''t findfavour with the selectors as they preferred young MohammedSami Ahmed over Bose.

Bengal selection committee chairman of Sambaran Banerjeesaid the 32-year-old medium-pacer was not fit for the one-dayscheme of things.

Stylish batsman Manoj Tiwary will lead the side whilewicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha will be his deputy.

Rookie Soumya Ghosh has been included in the side which alsohas Bengal colts captain Sudip Chatterjee who made his List Adebut last season.

Bengal open their campaign against Orissa in the EastZone leg of the one-day tournament for the Vijay HazareTrophy.
