India's Perth momentum shattered drastically in the Adelaide outing as Rohit Sharma and his troops got comprehensively beaten by Australia in the day-night affair.
With the defeat, India is now tied 1-1 with the hosts after the first two matches, with three matches more to go.

Along with their dismal outing in Adelaide, the batting performance has particularly caused concern. India got bowled out for 180 and 175, and their star batters failed to stand tall again.
Rohit Sharma, the captain who made a return to the team, played at the middle order and could only score 9 runs in total across two innings. Virat Kohli also failed miserably and his tallies were poor as well - scoring 7 and 11 in the two innings respectively.
The latter scored a century in the 2nd innings in Perth but has come under fire again after his latest dismal outing. Kohli has had no shortage of criticism in his career, but this time, its from afar, as West Indies legend Andy Roberts has made no hiding of words while speaking on Kohli's performance.
Speaking to the Mid-Day, Roberts went on full throttle against Kohli's batting in the last five years.
"I don't know if there will be a revival after the Adelaide defeat, but get your batting right. One of your best batsmen of all time has been struggling for the last five years," Roberts said.
The India batter has left the T20I format for India but is still involved in IPL - and Roberts gave him stern advice to concentrate solely on the longer format of the game.
"He needs to be focused on the longer version of the game. You will get runs and score heavily in Test cricket only when you are fully focused on the longer form. The standard of Test cricket is not the same. The top batsmen look as if they are struggling," the West Indies legend added.
Virat Kohli's struggle in Red Ball is not a recent issue and the India batter will have to find an answer soon. India's hopes of making to the WTC final also heavily hinges on the next three Tests and Kohli will have to play a pivotal part if India are to secure a series win down under.
