Bhuvneshwar Kumar creates UPT20 League history with 400 dot balls
Lucknow Falcons captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the first bowler in UPT20 League history to complete 400 dot balls, reaching the landmark during his side's rain-affected victory over Noida Kings on Sunday.
The veteran swing bowler reached the milestone at the end of his fifth match of the ongoing season. He has now bowled 408 dot balls in 124 overs across 35 matches over four seasons, underlining the consistency and control that have defined his campaign in the tournament.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar shows remarkable consistency
Bhuvneshwar has maintained a remarkably consistent level of discipline throughout his UPT20 League career.
The pacer recorded 118 dot balls in nine matches in Season 1, followed by 120 in 11 matches during Season 2 and 117 in 10 matches in Season 3.
In the ongoing fourth season, he has already produced 53 dot balls in just five matches.
His 408 dot balls from 124 overs mean Bhuvneshwar has averaged more than three dot balls per over across his UPT20 League career.
The ability to consistently prevent batters from scoring has made him one of the competition's most effective bowlers, particularly during the powerplay and at crucial stages of an innings.
Dot balls can have a significant impact in T20 cricket, building pressure on batters and increasing the likelihood of wickets as they look to find scoring opportunities.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar milestone comes in Falcons' win
Bhuvneshwar's landmark came on a day when Lucknow Falcons defeated Noida Kings by 12 runs via the DLS method at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
The rain-interrupted contest saw the Falcons' bowling attack produce a strong performance before the weather brought the match to an early end.
Abhinandan Singh was the standout bowler for Lucknow, returning figures of 4/32 to reclaim the tournament's Purple Cap with 13 wickets from five matches. Ajeet Verma also contributed with two wickets as Noida Kings were restricted to 156/8.
In reply, Lucknow Falcons reached 144/5 in 17.3 overs before rain stopped play, with the DLS method handing them a 12-run victory.
With the season still underway, Bhuvneshwar will now look to extend his record and set an even higher benchmark for dot-ball bowling in the UPT20 League.
