The 27-year-old swing bowler has been in impressive form and took eight wickets in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Kolkata which ended in a thrilling draw.

'Bhuvi' has taken 42 wickets across all forms in the last one year and despite that Rastogi is not going overboard.

"Bhuvneswar will shine more. The simple reason is that he has a strong foundation at our cricket coaching camp and one of the key factors in building strong foundation is green-top pitch at Victoria Park ground where I've been running the camp for more than last 20 years," Rastogi said while speaking over the phone from Meerut.

The seasoned coach compared Bhuvneshwar's career that with that of another Indian swing bowler -- Praveen Kumar.

"Praveen was also an excellent swing bowler. He also came up from our coaching camp. It is not only Bhuvi or Praveen, any bowler in our camp develops swing naturally while bowling on the green-top pitch at Victoria Park ground. Bhuvi came to me at the age of 13. Since then he was a natural in-swing bowler. Later he developed out-swing and during his learning phase I used to show him the video of Kapil Dev's bowling. In spite of being feeble Bhuvi was always mentally strong and he did a lot of hard-work since his childhood."

Rastogi however laments that despite being a decent batsman his student does not get opportunity to bat in the international matches.
"In the sub-junior and junior level I played Bhuvi as an opener and he was good at the job. He used to bat well, During that time, he used to hear the stories about Sunil Gavaskar. But later, I observed he was bowling well at the nets. Even the senior batsmen at were struggling to face his swing at the nets. So I decided that that he should forget batting and be a specialist bowler. My decision stands vindicated
