The Big Bash League 2023-24 (also known as BBL 13) is all set to start with Brisbane Heat taking on Melbourne Stars at the Gabba in Brisbane on Thursday (December 7).

BBL season 13 will see 8 teams battle in 10 matches each in the league phase with the top four after the league stage heading into the next round or the play-offs - Qualifier, Knockout, Challenger and then the final.

The table topper and second placed teams after the round-robin round will play the qualifier with the winner earning a direct entry into BBL 13 Final, while the loser of the qualifier gets another shot at reaching the summit clash via the Challenger, where they will face the winner of the Knockout.

The Knockout will see the third-placed team face the fourth-placed in a direct fight to get one step closer to the final. The BBL 2023-34 playoffs will be held from January 19, 2024 to January 24, 2024 with the venues yet to be announced.

The Big Bash League 2023-24 starts on December 7, 2023 with the group stages and ends with the final on January 24, 2024. A total of 44 matches, including the playoffs, will be played across 12 venues this season.

There are many start times for league stage matches. The earliest match starts at 10 AM IST followed by 10:30 AM IST, 12:35 PM IST, 1:45 PM IST, 2:10 PM IST and finally 3:45 PM IST.
