The Big Bash League 2024-25 (also known as BBL 14) is all set to start with Perth Scorchers taking on Melbourne Stars at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday (December 15).

BBL season 14 will see 8 teams battle in 10 matches each in the league phase with the top four after the league stage heading into the next round or the play-offs - Qualifier, Knockout, Challenger and then the final.

The table topper and second placed teams after the round-robin round will play the qualifier with the winner earning a direct entry into BBL 14 Final, while the loser of the qualifier gets another shot at reaching the summit clash via the Challenger, where they will face the winner of the Knockout.

The Knockout will see the third-placed team face the fourth-placed in a direct fight to get one step closer to the final. The BBL 2024-25 playoffs will be held from January 21, 2025 to January 27, 2024 with the venues yet to be announced.

When does Big Bash League Season 14 start and end?

The BBL 14 starts on December 15, 2024 with the league phase, and ends with the final on January 27, 2025. A total of 44 matches, including the playoffs, will be played across 11 venues this season.

What time do the Big Bash League 2024-25 matches start in Indian Standard Time (IST)?

There are many start times for league stage matches. The earliest match starts at 10:30 AM IST followed by 11:30 AM IST, 12:35 PM IST, 1:45 PM IST, 2 PM IST and finally 3:45 PM IST. The play-off matches - Qualifier, Challenger, The Knockout and Final will all be played at 1:45 PM IST.
