Bike accident: Ayazuddin dead but fate saved friend's life

Hyderabad, Sep 16: 19-year-old Ayazuddin and his cousin 16-year-old Ajmal-ur-Rehman died over a deadly bike accident in Hyderbad. But Ajmal's close friend Shaad had escaped the tragedy with a powerful fate.

During an interview to a daily, 17-year-old Shaad, first year CEC student from St Mary's College, reportedly informed that Ajmal had invited Shaad for the deadly bike trip just a day ahead of their accident.

The daily quoted Shaad as stating, "'Bhai, kal subah road trip pe chalte hain, Ayaz bhai, you, your friend and I (Ajmal).' I (Shaad) asked him what will we do on a road trip? He (Ajmal) said, 'We will speed race and try to break our own record of 220 km per hour'. I (Shaad) got a little apprehensive and said, 'It's dangerous, there could be accidents!' But Ajmal said, 'Dekhte hain na, chalte hain trip pe.'"

Earlier some media reports claimed that Ayazuddin, with his cousin met with the accident while allegedly participating in a bike race over a bet money of whopping Rs 1 lakh.

However, Ayazuddin's friends and relatives, who visited him (Ayaz) in Apollo Hospital, overruled such speculations stating, "That's (bet on bike race) false. Ayaz is nothing like that."

Ayazuddin was riding his brand new 1000 cc imported Suzuki motorcycle with his cousin 16-year-old Ajmal-ur-Rehman when the tragedy struck. It has been reported that the bike slipped killing Ajmal in the impact. Ajmal is the grandson of former Congress Rajya Sabha MP Khalil-ur-Rehman.
