India legend Bishan Singh Bedi passed away on Monday (October 23) at the age of 77 years. The coveted player is regarded as one of the elite spinners in the history of the game.
Bedi's international career spanned a period of 13 years from 1966 to 1979, during which he represented India in 67 Test matches and 10 One Day Internationals (ODIs). He accumulated 266 Test wickets, a testament to his bowling prowess.

He also captained the Indian team in 22 Test matches. A popular figure in the cricketing world, Bedi's playing style and tactical acumen were appreciated by players and spectators alike.
The news came as a shock to the Indian cricketing fraternity and various players from past and present showered their condolences and remembered the legendary cricketer.
Former Indian players such as Irfan Pathan, Dinesh Karthik, Suresh Raina and others took to social media in remembrance of the legend.
"Deeply saddened by the passing of the cricket legend, Shri Bishan Singh Bedi Ji. His impact on the sport is immeasurable, and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time," Suresh Raina said on X.
