Mumbai, Apr 29: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, whose parents were active members in the Parliament of India, seems to have got shock after hearing that Sachin Tendulkar has been nominated to Rajya Sabha.

The actor was not happy with the cricketer whom he (Dutt) described as the legend in the world of Cricket. Sanjay Dutt said that Sachin should have not accepted the offer to join politics. [UPDATE: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan praises Rekha, Sachin]

"It is an honour to be in Rajya Sabha. I am a die-hard fan of Sachin...he is a pride...jewel of India. But I am not happy that he is a Rajya Sabha member....he should have been the way he is," claimed Dutt.

Sanjay Dutt's father Sunil Dutt and mother Nargis - both were Members of Parliament (MP). Even Sanjay Dutt's sister Priya Dutt is also an active member of Congress Party. Now, Sanjay Dutt's statement regarding Sachin shocked many as he himself participates in campaigning and many other activities related to politics.

However, the master-blaster's foray into the political world has been received with great applause from various political circles after President Pratibha Patil approved the cricketer's nomination to the Rajya Sabha.
