Border-Gavaskar Trophy: In a big injury concern for Australia ahead of the upcoming five-match Test series against India, their star all-rounder Cameron Green was ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against England due to a back injury.
The 25-year-old missed the crucial fourth ODI at Lord's on Friday, and will return home before the nature of his injury his assessed. The initial scans have highlighted a back injury for the fast-bowling all-rounder.

Green was rested for the second ODI to manage his workload, but he returned for the third ODI at Chester-le-Street where he scored 42 runs and picked two wickets. He also played all the three T20Is in Scotland before landing in Scotland.
The youngster now faces a race to be fit for the much-anticipated assignment at home against a side that is leading the World Test Championship (WTC) chart at the moment. According to cricket.com.au, an Australia men's team spokesperson said the extent of the injury and a timeline for his return "wouldn't be known until the player arrives home in Perth for further assessment".
Green, who has a history with back injuries, was prohibited from bowling during the 2019-20 summer due to a stress fracture in his lower back. The first Test against India is nearly two months away, with the match starting on November 22 in Perth.
Mitchell Marsh, the other pace-bowling all-round option also hasn't bowled much in the recent times due to injury concerns. In the absence of Green, the Australia T20I captain bowled for the first time in six months during the fourth ODI against England.
