Border-Gavaskar Trophy Stats and Record: Top Batters and Bowlers So Far in BGT

Over the years, there have been some stand out performances from individuals with the bat like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli for India.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy was founded in the 1996-97 season and is named after former Australia captain Allan Border and former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar.

Since it's inception, India and Australia have contested 15 times for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India has won the most, clinching the title 10 times, while Australia has won the trophy 5 times so far.

Over the years, there have been some stand out performances from individuals with the bat like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli for India, while Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, Steve Smith and Matthew Hayden have been the stars for Australia.
