The tenth season of Bangladesh Premier League - BPL 2024 is down to two teams as Comilla Victorians will lock horns with Fortune Barishal in the title clash at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Friday (March 1).

Litton Das-led Comilla Victorians, who finished second on the points table, defeated table-toppers Rangpur Riders by 6-wickets in the qualifier to earn a direct entry into the summit clash.

Tamim Iqbal's Fortune Barishal, who finished third in the standings, first got past fourth-placed Chattogram Challengers by 7 wickets in Eliminator 1, and then defeated the best side in the league phase, Rangpur Riders by 6 wickets in Eliminator 2 to reach the final.

While the two sides prepare to clash for the title in season 10 of BPL, here is a look at their previous record and their final appearances in the Bangladesh Premier League so far:

How many times has Fortune Barishal won the BPL title so far?

Having played under a different name in earlier editions, Fortune Barishal made their BPL debut in the 2022 edition, but have never won the Bangladesh Premier League title so far.

However, they came close to winning their first title in their maiden campaign, in which they ended as runners up, losing to the Comilla Victorians in the BPL 2022 Final. The Barishal-based side also finished runners up in the 2012 and 2015 editions.

How many times has Comilla Victorians won the BPL title so far?

Comilla Victorians, who made their BPL debut in 2015, played as Comilla Warriors in season 7 before playing again as the Victorians since the 2021 edition. The Victorians are the most successful side in the league history.

In the nine editions of BPL so far, the Comilla-based side has won the BPL title a record four times in their seven appearances. They are also unbeaten in their four final appearances.

Comilla Victorians won the title first in their debut season in 2015, and then won their second title in 2018 before winning back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 seasons. Now, they aim for hattrick, which will take their title tally to five.

Which Team Has Won Bangladesh Premier League Title Most?

As mentioned earlier, Comilla Victorians are the most successful side in BPL history, having won four titles followed by the Dhaka-based franchise (Dhaka Gladiators & Dhaka Dynamites now known as Durdanto Dhaka), who have won the BPL title three times in 2012, 2013 & 2016.

Rangpur Riders and the now defunct Rajshahi Royal have won one title each in 2017 and 2019 editions respectively. Barishal has the most runners up finishes with 3 final defeats followed by the Dhaka franchise, which has lost two finals.

Khulna Tigers, Sylhet Strikers, Chattogram Challengers and the now disbanded Rajshahi Royals also have finished runners up once, having lost the title clash.
