The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) saw its latest draft ahead of the 2025 season of the tournament.
On Monday (October 14), the draft took place and all seven teams formed their squad ahead of the upcoming season. The tournament, which is slated to begin on December 27, saw a number of international and local talents picked in the draft.

Along with all the big names from Bangladesh, a number of international stars and veterans are also set to be part of the BPL.
Durbar Rajshahi: Saad Nasim, Lahiru Samarakoon
Dhaka Capital: Thisara Perera, Johnson Charles, Shahnawaz Dahani, Mir Hamza, Stephen Eskinezi, Saim Ayub, Amir Hamza
Chittagong Kings: Moeen Ali, Usman Khan, Hyder Ali, Angelo Mathews, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Binura Fernando, Graham Clarke, Thomas O'Connell

Fortune Barishal: Dawid Malan, Kyle Mayers, Mohammad Nabi, Fahim Ashraf, Ali Mohammad, Khan Jahandad, James Fuller, Pathum Nissanka, Nandre Burger
Saurabh Netravakar is a fantastic pick for the Rangpur Riders. The India-born USA pacer has been growing in leaps and bounds, which was visible in the T20 World Cup earlier this year. The left-arm fast bowler has all the skills and quality to be successful at the BPL and he can emerge as a top pick in the tournament. Netravalkar will also come to the tournament on the back of an excellent outing in the Major League Cricket, where he was the top wicket-taker with 15 wickets in seven matches.
Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka has established himself as a valuable top-order batter across formats. Nissanka has flourished in recent times and his T20 credentials are pretty impressive. The 26-year-old can be a top-notch signing for Barishal, who can have a formidable opening lineup with captain Tamim Iqbal.
England's Alex Hales has showcased his destructive self in the T20 format over the years. Although consistency hasn't been his forte, but Hales can be a massive weapon for the Riders in the upcoming BPL season. The quality of bowling BPL offers will suit the Englishman and he can make a solid impact for his team.
The strongly-built Rahkeem Cornwall is a fantastic pick for Sylhet Strikers. The West Indies player, with his muscles, can clear any ground, and BPL can witness mayhem from his bat. The 31-year-old is a destructive batter in T20s and the Strikers would love to see him carnaging in the tournament. Despite having a superb CPL record, Rahkeem is yet to make his debut for West Indies in the T20Is, and a decent outing in BPL can open doors up for him.
Thisara Perera can be a force for the Dhaka Capital team in the BPL. The 35-year-old Sri Lankan has been in terrific touch in the ongoing Legends League Cricket and if he can replicate it in the BPL, things can be rosy for them. Although Perera has left international cricket, the veteran still looks adept enough to shine in the BPL with both bat and ball. With a strong squad around Perera, Dhaka can make a strong impact in the upcoming edition.
