India will usher in Afghanistan to Tests

Bengaluru, December 11: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday met in New Delhi for its Special General Body meeting to decide on a slew of important on field and off field matters.

Here's a few of them.

1 India will play Afghanistan in a Test in the 2019-2020 season to usher the minnows to the world of Test cricket.

2 India will host the 2023 ICC 50-over World Cup. Last time India hosted it was in 2011 and they emerged winners under MS Dhoni defeating Sri Lanka.

3 India will host next edition of Champions Trophy. India had hosted it in 2006 and Australia won the tournament.

4) The BCCI has decided to revoke the ban of Rajasthan Cricket Association since Lalit Modi has moved himself away from administration.

5) BCCI will continue to oppose the dope testing of cricketers by NADA

6) The new FTP (witheffect from 2019) will have more one-dayers in it.
