Mumbai, Jan 5: The BCCI's disciplinary committee on Tuesday (January 5) deferred announcement of a decision regarding tainted Mumbai cricketer Hiken Shah till January 18 after another accused, Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf, requested for more time to present his defence against the allegations.
Hiken was suspended from all forms of cricket in July last year when he was found guilty of breaching the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s anti-corruption code. It was revealed he made a corrupt approach to one of his Mumbai teammate, who is also a member of one of the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams. He challenged his suspension in the Bombay High Court.
